Marlene opened a modern, purpose-built centre for “creative photography” in East London. Here she instructs her students in all the “secrets” on how to capture those masterpieces. The Centre also serves as a venue for her students to meet and learn from other visiting “gurus” from around the country. The Centre boasts a fully equipped lecture venue as well as a large professionally equipped darkroom for those students who would like to explore the traditional approach to photography.

Part of the Centre is an ultra modern gallery that serves as a permanent showcase for Marlene’s exclusive photographic art. The gallery forms part of the Centre set in lovely and peaceful gardens in the shadow of an ancient Wild Fig tree. Here, visitors, local or from out of town, can view and purchase images from the large selection on display. It really is a must to view if you are in the area. |

This tranquil art garden designed by Marlene and Cuan Miles is an experience on its own. It features an incredible fig tree which towers over the centre offering support and protection... Her mere presence in the garden brings strength and wisdom to all that visit this sanctuary. |

The garden is designed around a mini labyrinth. Students and visitors wander through this magical experience being inspired by the plants, water feature, birds, insects and the tranquil smell of lavender... Come experience a haven of nature and if you are lucky the azaleas may all be in bloom... |

The interesting and well thought out path that leads one to the gallery is a mystical journey as it is paved with gem stones. The visitor is constantly surprised by the hidden art features in the garden, all hand made by Marlene herself. These are works of art and the features enable the photographic students and visitors to become inspired when walking down the garden path...
